Tree Species Giant Sequoia (Sequoiadendron giganteum) Oak (Quercus sp.) Deodar Cedar (Cedrus deodara)

Physical Description An avenue of mixed exotic trees including Oaks and Cedars line the entry driveway to Kinross Wolaroi. All trees are healthy specimens showing good branch and vegetation structure. An individual Giant Sequoia is located to the front of the old mansion. The Giant Sequoia has striking dark green foliage with evidence of branch and foliage die back.

Kinross Wolaroi5Statement of Significance The mature trees provide a stately setting for the Wolaroi building and the school grounds. The maturity of the trees and the contrasts of foliage and form are aesthetically significant. Associated Heritage Listing: The “Wolaroi” building is a Schedule 8 Heritage Item of State Significance in the Orange Local Environment Plan 2000.
